The most recent winner on the LPGA Tour is the number one player in our preseason Player of the Year predictions.
Jeeno Thitikul has had an extraordinary professional golf career at only 21-years-old. She has four LET wins, four LPGA Tour wins and seven top-10 finishes in major championships. It is time for her to take her game to the next level.
Thitikul is ranked No. 4 in the Rolex Rankings and has led the LPGA Tour in scoring average each of the last two seasons. Over the last two years Thitikul has 25 top-10 finishes in 38 starts, an absurd number. In the last seven individual events of 2024, Thitikul finished top eight in each of them, including top five in five of those starts. Of course, she won the season finale at the CME Group Tour Championship with an incredible finish to beat out Angel Yin.
In the KPMG Performance Insights, Thitikul finished No. 2 in strokes gained total behind Nelly Korda. Thitikul is elite in every category other than around the green, where she loses .03 strokes. But she is an elite putter, ranking No. 2 in strokes gained putting. Add that number to her No. 14 ranking in strokes gained tee-to-green, and it is easy to see why she has achieved so much in her young career.
Thitikul was part of the 2023 International Crown winning team from Thailand, and is likely to return to the team as its leader in 2025. She has finished each of the last three years inside of the top 10 in the Rolex Rankings.
Thitikul has already won a Vare Trophy, the LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year, The LET Rookie of the Year and the LET Player of the Year. The next logical step for the young star from Thailand is to win the LPGA Player of the Year. She has a fantastic chance at getting that done in 2025.
