Majors are the ultimate test for a professional golfer. Generally they are played on some of the toughest courses against the most stacked fields. But who are the best active players on the LPGA Tour without one? With the first men’s major taking place right now, and women’s major season kicking off soon, here are the best active players without a major? (Note: Players have to have played since the beginning of 2024 to qualify).

NO. 10: MORIYA JUTANUGARN

Jutanugarn has had a really underrated career while often being in the shadow of her younger sister, Ariya. Moriya has three wins, each three years apart, two of them being individual titles, her most recent coming in 2024 at the Portland Classic. Jutanugarn also has 48 career top-10 finishes, seven of those being in major championships.

NO. 9: GABY LÓPEZ

Gaby López has always been a solid player, and made history as the first golfer to carry the flag during the Olympic opening ceremonies while representing Mexico. López has three career wins but has generally struggled in major championships with only two top-10 finishes. She has had solid results in the big ones recently though.

NO. 8: LIZETTE SALAS

While Salas hasn’t done much over the last couple years, she was a strong player on the LPGA Tour throughout the late 2010’s and early 2020’s. She has two wins in her career with 38 top-10 finishes. The real eye-popping number though is her performance in majors, where she has three runner-up finishes.

NO. 7: ROSE ZHANG

Yes, Rose is still in the very early stages of her career, but her general performance has led to her earning a spot here. In just under two-full seasons, Zhang has two wins and 10 top-10 finishes. In her first season as a professional alone, Zhang had three top-10 finishes in majors. Don’t expect her to be on this list for much longer.

NO. 6: ANGEL YIN

Angel Yin has been a bit of a late riser in her career, with it taking about seven years to win her first LPGA Tour event, but she’s always had a solid major championship record. Yin has six top-10 finishes in majors with 34 overall. She has two wins in her career and seems to be hitting her peak right now after also finishing second in the CME Group Tour Championship in 2024.

NO. 5: HAERAN RYU

Once again, a young player that came to the tour the same season as Zhang, Ryu has two wins as well but has 19 top-10 finishes and 12 top five finishes. Ryu has four top-10 finishes in majors already with two of them being top fives. Ryu is clearly and obviously one of the best players on the tour right now and expect her to be moving forward.

NO. 4: NASA HATAOKA

It still feels a bit bizarre that Hataoka doesn’t have a major championship win yet. Hataoka actually has the most LPGA Tour wins of anyone on this list, with six, all won between 2018 and 2022. Hataoka has also always played well in the big ones, with nine top-10 finishes in majors with 48 total in her career.

NO. 3: CHARLEY HULL

While Charley Hull has just two LPGA Tour wins, she also has four on the Ladies European Tour, including two Aramco events against LPGA Tour level fields. Hull has nine top-10 finishes in majors with three runner ups. In general, Hull has 39 top-10 finishes and remains one of the faces of women’s golf.

NO. 2: CARLOTA CIGANDA

Ciganda, like Hull, only has two LPGA Tour wins, but has done the majority of her damage on the LET. Ciganda has eight top wins on the European Tour and has had many close calls in majors. Ciganda has seven top-five finishes across her career in majors and has also been a staple of the European Solheim Cup team.

NO. 1: JEENO THITIKUL

Jeeno is still very young, at just 22-years-old, and thus hasn’t built up the same resumé as some of the others on this list, but what she has done in her short time has been incredible. Thitikul already has four wins on the LPGA Tour and five on the LET. In majors she already has seven top-10 finishes and amazingly has 45 top-10 finishes in her three full seasons on the LPGA Tour. Thitikul has had a generational first few years.
